Women of Ballroom Calendar
Behind the Scenes with the Women of Ballroom

Footwear Fashion & Flash is sponsoring a calendar called The Women of Ballroom. The procedes from the sale of the calendar will benefit the Kids Ballroom Dance Program. The calendar will be available in November.
The Kids Ballroom Dance Program is a non-profit organization, sponsored by grants, funding and support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Healthy Living Cambridge Kids, MASSabda/USA Dance Chapter 3002 and the individual school districts as well as private donations.
The Kids Ballroom Dancing Program brings ballroom dance to school children throughout Massachusetts as part of each school’s academic curriculum. 
The arts-in-residence program, currently active in 13 MA schools, reaches approximately 800 students who learn basics in the ballroom dances. The program integrates the arts, humanities, sciences, and physical education disciplines. 
The dance lessons teach children respect, discipline and the confidence to set goals. Our mission is to build social awareness in children through the practice of social dance. The maturity necessary to dance together fosters respect, teamwork, confidence and a sense of joy and accomplishment that we hope to bring to every child.
The medium of dance offers experiential learning that opens pathways of discipline and self-discovery; bringing insights into other learning disciplines. It assists students with organizing their world in a way they can understand, in a safe and fun environment.
